CHRISTMAS SPIRITS is a new entertainment devised by Keith Drinkel, based on the telliing of classic ghost stories.

Set in the late 1940s in an isolated old house in Sussex, James Montague, a master storyteller and collector of the supernatural, has invited a young man, Allan Edgar, for Christmas, with the idea of assessing if he is ready to take over from his current secretary who has found a less taxing employer. To pass the time and put him at his ease, both the secretary, Henry Munro, and Montague, tell the young newcomer selected tales. In return he is sufficiently confident to offer two of his favourite stories.

As the atmosphere begins to chill Montague tells his final tale with shocking effect.

First performed under the banner of The Classic Reaction Theatre Company at St. Mary's, Bramber, on 1st December 2000.
